Identifying Leadership Talent

In order to identify talent for managing positions, we carry out a Management Audit, which consists of an assessment of managerial skills, such as leadership, managing people, strategic orientation, business spirit and results orientation. This allows us to make a comparison with the managerial profile required by the organization as well as to set criteria for benchmarking.

When is it recommended?

In all those cases in which the company wants to find out about the managerial skills and capacities of the people that already occupy certain positions or are to fill posts of responsibility within the company so that it can face up to the challenges on the market confidently.

The Management Audit is specially indicated in processes of:

  • successor plans

  • mergers and take-overs.

The assessments are individual and are complemented by a personalized feed-back, which allows the professional to make action plans and to become aware of their areas to develop.

Practical Case:

Assessment of managers at a company of the pharmaceutical sector that was going through a process of change in the organizational structure and facing new challenges on the market.

Individual assessments were carried out using various tools, such as in-depth and competences interviews with a view to detecting objectively the strengths and areas for improvement of each person, and thus being able to devise training and development plans that would suit each one best in order to learn all necessary managerial skills to be able to do their work optimally

Then feed-back interviews were held with each participant so that they would get to know in detail their profile and the areas for improvement that were considered necessary in the successful fulfilment of their responsibilities. Some people were offered a Coaching programme which could help them on their path of development. The outcome was that all participants in this project have capably run the process of reorganizing the company.
