Individual and Team Coaching
The programmes that are carried out to foster and develop talent in organizations are meant to help people, who are considered key persons in the company, to identify, include and develop skills and competences that are absolutely necessary to be able to perform their present or future role in such a way that success is fully guaranteed and they could contribute to the improvement of results.
When is it recommended?
In all those cases considered necessary to contribute to the development of those professionals chosen as strategic so that they could learn new skills which should help them to respond efficiently to the continuous changes in the management models: Organizational / Cultural Changes, Mergers, Take-overs, New Markets, and also the need to face up to new challenges and responsibilities.
How do we go about it?
By means of a Coaching process, either individual or in team, with the aim of making the participants aware of the need to develop new skills after a process of reflection. Such skills could include: Leadership, management, management and development of people, interpersonal relationships, management conducts and styles….In this way they could change some of their habits and take new actions and form new ways of behaviour that would have a positive effect on their own results and hence on those of the company.
Practical Case:
A company of the pharmaceutical sector, in which one of the leading Managers, who was a member of the Executive Board, was a key person in running the company as he/she was very goals-oriented and therefore obtained excellent results. However, it was thought that his/her style of leadership should be different.
Once the situation had been analysed with him and other people he/she had professional contact with, we went on to focus his/her development on these competences: Leadership, People Development and Teamwork. We agreed on several lines of work with a consistent action plan.
The process took nine months, in which the participant of the Coaching Process
learned and interiorized necessary skills in order to act as leader with excellent results and being recognized as such. He /she also learned to change his/her conduct whenever it was necessary to collaborate in teamwork, getting excellent results and very positive responses from the rest of the members in the team.
The overall results also improved as he/she managed to develop and motivate his/her team and delegate appropriately, which enabled him/her to focus on more strategic functions.
