Puesto: Regional Manager (Automotive Sector)

Leading multinational company specialized in manufacturing equipment for the supply, application and curing of sprayed materials including paints, coatings, powders, mastics and bonding materials, is looking for a Regional Manager for West Spain and Portugal.

Reporting to the Industrial and Automotive Business Unit Manager, their main functions and responsibilities are:

  • Identify and establish relationships with existing customers (distributors, end-users, paint companies, OEM…). Supporting current business activity as well as creating new sales opportunities.
  • Expand the costumer portfolio and Identify and negotiate with distributors and other clients of the assigned sales region.
  • Present, promote and disseminate the product portfolio, services and technical solutions of the company.
  • Plan and execute weekly sales activities, including visiting performing Demo’s and seeing is believing trials, tune-ups & audits, training, etc.
  • Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Coordinate and ensure the correct communication with the different departments involved in the sales process, and guarantee the service according to the deadlines and requirements of the client.
  • Investigate the evolution of the market, anticipating the appropriate measures to adapt to the new trends. Prepare reports on the evolution of the market and the sales strategies to be adopted.
  • Obtain information on the competitor’s products and all data that may be of interest and relevant to the business.
  • Keep management informed of all activity, including weekly/monthly reports.

Academic Background:

  • University degree or equivalent.

Languages

  • Spanish: native level.
  • Fluency in English. Knowledge of French an advantage.

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years in a similar position in similar sectors (automotive, painting, coating, etc.).  

Knowledge: 

  • A good knowledge of finishing products and distribution networks.   

Others:

  • Ready to travel frequently (nationally and internationally).
  • Assistance to Tech days, Tradeshows, Fairs, etc.
  • User-level computer skills.
  • The profile is that of an independent, proactive and very own initiative person.
